During the week of February 26 – March 2, students at District 7 joined students across the country in celebrating Read Across America Week. This week includes March 2 which is the anniversary of the birth of Theodor Seuss Geisel whose fans know him as Dr. Seuss.

Students at District 7 celebrated this week with a variety of activities including dressing as a favorite book character, eating a green eggs and ham burrito, studying the work of Dr. Seuss, and recognizing the school’s accomplishment with the Reading Rocks! fundraising campaign. This year, proceeds from Reading Rocks! were used to purchase iPads which will be used in a variety of instructional purposes.
