Fifth grade students at D7ES have been studying force and motion. Based on what they’ve learned, the students developed experiments and hypothesized about the outcome of the experiments. These fifth grade scientists experimented with Newton’s three laws of motion.

Students at D7ES really enjoy science! This is especially evident when the Science Fun for Everyone scientists visit the classrooms. These scientists teach the fundamentals of science through fun, hands-on activities. Fifth grade students most recently benefited from the in-school field trip.

During the week of February 26 – March 2, students at District 7 joined students across the country in celebrating Read Across America Week. This week includes March 2 which is the anniversary of the birth of Theodor Seuss Geisel whose fans know him as Dr. Seuss.
